Tim enjoys talking about science and natural history, and does it regularly on TV, radio and online.

As a presenter Tim fronted the BBC documentary Spider House with Professor Alice Roberts and has presented pieces for CBBC, the Royal Institution and Back from the Brink. Tim has appeared as an expert contributor on a range of TV programmes, talking about an eccentric range of topics from flies and fleas to Victorian circus performers and dust.

On the radio Tim has appeared with Professor Brian Cox on The Infinite Monkey Cage; and as presenter and scientist on BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service, BBC Five Live, BBC Radio 2, and over 30 local radio stations across the UK. He has been the resident zoologist on the BBC’s Inside Science and Science in Action. His broadcasts have made Pick of the Week four times on BBC Radio 4. He has also appeared on a number of podcasts and online stations including Soho Radio, The Naked Scientists and So Hot Right Now.
